Chill Out Man

If you are into House Music, not the stuff you play in your house silly billy, but that cool, calm, soulful dance music you hear at trendy bendy places. If you are a local to Sydney you will know what I am talking about. It is everywhere, for example, Cargo Bar. That is the most obvious place, but generally it is everywhere.
One of my favourite places for the music at present is at the Hilton’s Zeta Bar. They play classic House music, for the mid to late 20’s or the older one’s too if you like. The other reason I like it, is it does not tamper with any lurking hangovers.
With great inventions like MySpace, yes the music whore that I am, I fell upon Hed Kandi’s website. Now these guys are the masters DJ’s from the UK including greats like Ferry Corsten, DJ Antoine, Funkstar Deluxe and Soul System have created their own record label. I am so jelly I tell you, it is like the pinnacle of chill out music, aside from your Indie/Acoustic type stuff, which is also excellent.
If that is more your cup of tea then I recommend the Coastal Chill. It is largely Australian music, but incorporates just a few international artists to wet your appetite. The nuggets I would vote for include Sigur Rios, Lior and The Breaks-Coop.
Just remember if you like to chill, there is plenty of great music to help you to do it aside from Coldplay!
What tunes do you chill to?
