MY LAST REQUEST
November 22nd 2006 13:46
My Last Request by The Lost Echoes is this weeks Song Choice of the Week on Killer Beats.
Locals to Sydney, band members Rob Irish, Taku Kimura, Tim Ferson and Putu Surantaka have made it into this year’s Triple J unearthed competition. Forming in mid 2006, their talent is undeniable.
Influenced by greats like Strung Out, Incubus and The Fray, The Lost Echoes acoustic track, My Last Request is beautifully executed by the quartet with Rob's vocals and guitar strumming you into the track.
Recorded live in Rob's bedroom, it is really quite amazing how a live quality can be reproduced with such grace and so easily. Even though the group plays punk, this track just defines the flexibility within the group.
With their career just starting, their fresh sound has been noticed not only by Triple J radio and by Clive Linden and his team, in recording their EP. With plans for this to be released sometime by the end of next month, the bands future is set for greatness.
