Music to Get Nuked To
April 7th 2008 02:08
My dad is being treated for cancer through the use of radiation. He is enduring 28 days of treatment so I have been putting together iPod groupings to divert his attention elsewhere while he is being nuked (what a smarty pants). He said that his glow-in-the-dark urine has negated the need for a nightlight if he feels a restroom break at 4:00AM. HA!
Here are some of his favorites but I could always use new ideas. What say you readers?
Carter Family: Keep on the Sunny Side
Allman Brothers; Rambling Man
Glen Campbell: Wichita Lineman
The Gourds: Gin and Juice
Johnny Cash: I Walk the Line:
Lynyrd Skynyrd: Simple Man
Jerry Reed: Westbound and Down
Osborne Brothers: Rocky Top
Roy Clark: Jambalaya
New Riders of the Purple Sage: Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother

So glad to see you. Thanks for asking about my dad. He is tolerating the radiation pretty well. We are cherishing our time together. He is as we say in Texas a "handful!" I appreciate your thoughtfulness
